Professional notes & limitations
What this calculator covers
Perimeter/cadastral, details, as-built, layout, strata, beacon re-establishment, litigation, change of title and plan revalidation/update using the Lagos 2024 policy rules.
Engineering surveys
The Lagos policy directs surveyors to the subsisting National Scale of Fees for engineering surveys. This calculator therefore does not invent a national engineering rate.
Minimum means minimum
The NIS document identifies the published amounts as minimum survey fees. Site complexity, vegetation, logistics, personnel, instrumentation, materials and other professional requirements can affect a final quotation.
Government charges
This tool estimates professional survey fees. Government/statutory charges are not automatically included because they are separate schedules and can change independently.
NIS institutional payment
The policy states that mandatory payments to the Institution shall be 80% of the minimum survey fee. This is displayed as a policy note, not added again to the client's professional fee, to avoid double-counting.
